Accessibility

When I began my career in events in 2010, accessibility was rarely integrated into mainstream production settings. I routinely witnessed firsthand how the lack of accessibility limited connection, hindered participation, and separated people from experiences, real-time information, and opportunities that others could access without a second thought.

Since then, I have worked to help integrate accessibility into a standard part of how live events, broadcasts, and digital experiences are planned and executed. I have had the opportunity to advance that work on a national level in environments featuring United States Presidents, elected state leaders, and award-winning film and performing artists.

I believe accessibility is essential infrastructure for economic empowerment, and the ability of future generations to participate fully in civic life.

Invest In Access

In 2018, I founded and independently built Invest In Access alongside my professional career, with the goal of establishing accessibility as a recognized operational discipline; giving organizations the knowledge to integrate accessibility into their own work. From 2018 through fall 2026, Invest In Access operated as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, receiving philanthropic support from Borealis Philanthropy and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. In 2026, I transitioned Invest in Access to an LLC to continue the work through participation in global accessibility standard-setting initiatives and advisory services in accessibility integration within streaming platforms.
